Our trips are totally independent treks. You can make your own arrangements or you can follow our path. There is NO FEE involved. What has been rewarding is to combine volunteer work with travel. There is so much to see and do: safaris, museums, gorilla trekking.
You can pay for your ticket, or use frequent flyer miles to get to Uganda. We stayed at various hotels and guest houses, or you may be a guest of a university program. In Jinja, the town famous for being the Source of the Nile, we stayed at the Brisk Hotel, where rooms are inexpensive but Internet is sketchy and frustrating. (Check to see if it is better before you book) It’s up to you but we can help! Lately, we stayed at the Jinja City Hotel so that we could walk to our Kabagezi Center at the Main St. School. It is lovely and clean and the hosts are very accommodating.
If you cannot make it, but you want to help you can Adopt A Prof. Read more about it.
